Speaking of clutter, it looks like Kotaku is now using the same main page layout as Gizmodo, which is cluttered as hell. Thank God for the "Latest" page.

Bingo. Unless they announce a delay now, which would not look good, this is what the game will be. Maybe a couple crashes will get fixed and they will be doing a full sweep of Technical Requirements testing (basically: console makers have strict rules on how to label or display buttons, images of the

For basic fights you can press the hint button and while Olivia's dialog is up the timer won't go down. It does shift you out of top down view of you are in that, but you can still see basically the whole battle. It isn't as helpful for bosses though, since they are so big and there is more to take in.

I don’t think their problem is based on that misconception, so much as thinking that the anime aesthetic isn’t a good match for a fairly grounded spy thriller like Splinter Cell is known for being.

Agreed. Splinter Cell is one of those few game series that are PERFECT for a live-action adaptation because it is essentially just the video game version of a spy thriller / political drama. It would make for an excellent mini-series of 8-12 episodes that are each about an hour long.

“I feel embarrassed enough if I walk outside with my shoes untied.”

Yeah you could take Boundary Break, Son of a Glitch, and 1-2 others who focus on glitches and other stuff to make a show to replace Cheat! (since cheats are dead and gone, glitches and stuff detailing what is going on outside of the normal game is the next best thing).

Depends how you look at it and varies from person to person I suppose. I only 100% games if I can have fun the entire time I’m playing it. As soon as the game feels more like work than play I’m no longer getting “value” from it, then I’m done.

They honestly look leaps and bounds better than 90% of the ugly ass shoes Luke has touted on here in the past.

“moment you graduate”

Probably. It also isn’t a good look that in the mockup that Jason made (which he could have made HOWEVER he wanted) the characters on either edge are dim and hard to read at first glance. If they are that hard to read in a photoshopped image that represents an ideal scenario, it certainly won't look that good if the

Agreed. Besides “hype” and the disappointment that can come with it is 1000% self-inflicted. It is people choosing to buy into the marketing and trailers and release dates that are months or years away and refusing to temper their expectations based on the simple realities that:

I don’t have any problems with the combat. I’m partially through the first chapter/section but it is pretty straightforward for me. I’ve only screwed up one puzzle so far and that was due to me flubbing an input because the JoyCons are built to be used for toddlers and not adults with normal sized hands, switching to

Yeah I can't think of any off the top of my head where motion controls are an actual improvement. Maybe for VR systems that have really precise motion sensing but not for anything on a Nintendo system.

To answer your question for Sonic, all three are correct. Shadow and Silver the hedgehogs are basically Sonic clones with some stupid unbalanced powers added (hits both the clone part and the balance part) and most of the other characters are just generic characters you could swear they just lifted from bad fan

I’m half considering getting this. Even though I strongly dislike the removal of RPG mechanics that made the first two games great, utterly despise their idiotic “only one Mario RPG series allowed” reasoning (especially since the Mario and Luigi series is kind of dead as we know it since the last couple games in that

That doesn’t really track. They allow completely unique characters so you still get all that “bloat” (although I disagree with even calling it that), except instead of having some distinct Goomba you have some distinct rando who has no similarities to ANY character and is never used again. That seems like a worse way

As discussed in a different thread, probably not. A large influx of clowns is more likely to draw media attention than if people just stopped playing. Unless you can get a bunch of people to sign a petition saying why they are boycotting Rockstar may interpret lower player count a dozen different ways, including

Yes, but preordering gives a bunch of small conveniences like:

But in addition to that, you also want to take long term pricing of physical games into account. Admittedly I don’t check the PSN store often but from what I’ve seen if you can’t afford a game at launch it is much likely to be discounted after release if it is a physical copy than digital because physical stores need
