We can agree to disagree (but we definitely agree he is guilty). I just don't think the Republicans will lose enough votes from us trying to impeach to make up for the number of votes we will lose from failing to impeach. Repeatedly.

We are somewhat in agreement. Politics are performance. And if we try and fail to impeach a dozen times we’ll look like first graders stuttering through a school play. Trump could do nothing but gloat each time the Senate votes against it and look fit for Broadway by comparison.

I agree entirely. If we took 10% of the energy we spend infighting and purity testing and devoted it to setting up strong candidates in vulnerable districts and backing them on a united front, we'd be able to maintain control for more than a few years at a time.

I think it is more driving the Democrat base into apathy and making them feel hopeless. It won't make them vote R, but it might make them vote Independent or not vote at all. 

I can't disagree with that in principle, but the problem is when impeachment fails (and it absolutely will), then that will in turn make Democrats seem weak. 

If you read the last paragraph of my post, you would see I don't have faith in them. I said what would work, and then clarified that the democratic leadership absolutely *won't* do that.

I don’t think that is the case. I think it will be more the type of thing that gets HUGE coverage. For about 2 weeks, and then hardly anybody will talk about it anymore. Like you will see an article for the occasional huge project that is being done every 8 months but next to nothing between that.

I think the difference there is that these are new games coming out, where GoW already had that and it is well known and has been for like 10-15 years.
