I heard about a caravan of migrants traveling to the border because the state of their country has become so bad that they need to seek new opportunities across the border. It must be incredibly difficult for them, not having any money and desperately seeking asylum in another country.

I try to be respectful of people's concerns about stuff like this, but unless I am actively harming another person, I am not responsible for your happiness.

3 months for games and books, 2 weeks after the episode airs for TV shows, and 1 month after the DVD is out for movies is my personal policy.

I... Really do not understand this metaphor. Every pep rally I went to in school (maybe... 2 or 3 a year in high school, if that) every kid was sitting bored in the bleachers, annoyed that they needed to sit through a bunch of shit they didn’t care about but thankful because at least they weren’t in class for the last

Not directly affected by it as I’m not a federal employee but my grandma died this week. I was going to fly out to OK for the funeral but because of all the issues at the airports due to the shutdown it wasn’t really feasible for me to get there in time for it. I just wasn’t able to make it work and couldn’t drive

Not necessarily. It certainly tries to do that but as we all know algorithms are far from perfect. It could also appear from anti-trump websites, as long as it is discussing the relevant subject.

True, but you have to account for cost to make the games too. The voice acting for Portal 2 alone probably cost more than the entire cost of developing Artifact.

Splinter: Where the hot takes come easy but basic web design and ease of use comes hard.

Yeah unfortunately that would be a lot of ever changing data and since the engine is really built for single player games there was no use for it before now.

Yeah usually not. It would be a lot of extra data to track for every single item that all players, enemies, and containers had on them, depending on how much data is being saved.

Yeah the Base ID is the actual item I was talking about that contains the original data. Each copy of that item that exists in the game is an instance (also known as a reference). In order for the game to know specifically what item you are talking about, it assigns a instance/reference ID to the item. You can see

Remember you are dealing with Nintendo here. They go to stupid ridiculous lengths about stuff like that

If they kept it similar to previous games there really isn’t. There is the base ID of the item which is the actual item itself that contains stats and the model and stuff. This item is just data and doesn’t actually exist in the game world.

It is because OP has severe emotional or anger problems, I guarantee it.

I disagree about the electoral college part but agree on the senate. The president should literally be elected by the people, the job of providing checks and balances to the president is on Congress and the judicial system.

More or less the same. If I only use my PC once every few days, there isn’t much point in keeping it on. Would it likely be fine either way? Certainly. But it is just a habit at this point and I’ve never had a failure at boot since my parent’s had their old iMac G5 when it crapped out a decade ago.

That is fairly accurate to say about most of the Nintendo console "gimmicks" (for lack of a better term). You usually only see a few developers do anything really creative with it (and usually it is just Nintendo), and everyone else just does the traditional thing.

I don’t really know what to say on this. I mean, she wouldn’t be the first person to spend their formative years being fed poisonous thoughts from her parents, only to change their worldview once they get more exposure to different viewpoints.

IIRC there were a few issues with runners saying things that weren’t cool during their runs, but “controversy” in any sense of the word is a stretch. Usually the bans are quick. I haven’t heard of an instance where they don’t let the runner finish, but usually the bans come right after the run, before their next run,

Another Vice City run? Fantastic.
