Me either! Thank you, too! I hope we can have more! Either that or south park image battles with butters. :)

My ex-girlfriend said that she always wanted science sets as a kid but they given to her brothers. They wouldn't let her play with then even though they didn't. Now she swears her eventual kids are getting them, boy or girl, and her kids will get whatever toys they like, except for pink or blue gender specific ones.…
You hit the nail on the head with the lack of women in tech. I'm an engineer and I'm working at a old white male dominated work force. (I an a young white male and I understand my privileges and circumstances beyond my control have put me in a better position than most). See my comment on another post about this…
I think the problem from a business perspective is that it's been proven time and time again that women and minorities will buy into properties with white male protagonists (perhaps because growing up marginalized society has accustomed them to this norm), whereas they have doubts that white men will 'suck it up' and…
"fuck the less progressive audience". Indeed. Oh, INDEED.
I don't think a lot of the men who make video-games care about depictions of women in media. I think as far as even thinking about including women goes, it'll first be something to exploit or objectify them. Even my fellow queer men mostly don't care how women are treated in media. Even artists, female or queer, tend…
I have been playing video games since my mother bought the family a Sega Genesis while I was in the second grade. I can first remember playing a female character in Jet Moto 2 on the play station (although the driver's sex was not important in that particular example). I loved playing KOTOR and KOTOR2 as a female…
I'm really glad the DA is taking this case seriously and prosecuting these young men. And I think they should go to prison. However, I am not in favor of prison sentences for 100s of years. 20-30 years? Okay - they can spend the best years of their adult lives in prison. That seems about right. But if there is…
Everyone has their own way of resolving differences, and they're not all recognizable as "fighting."
Absolute crap. Some couple just don't fight. My girlfriend is extremely conflict-averse, and I spent my entire childhood watching my parents continually tear each other apart to the point where my instinctive reaction if there's a disagreement is to go as far in the opposite direction as possible. In three years we've…
My parents fought when I was a kid, pretty much non-stop. I have such an aversion to raised voices and threatened violence as an adult that I'm only capable of calmly resolving disagreements. Thanks, mom and dad! At least one good thing came out of the shit parade that was raising me in front of their marriage.
THIS! ALL OF THIS! I'm fucking sick of it too. It doesn't mean we're not passionate, it just means we don't have to fight to resolve things.
Yes. My parents fought all the time and had a very UNhealthy marriage. Fighting a lot does not necessarily mean a couple is resolving conflict. And really most conflict shouldn't be raised to the level of fighting. Healthy relationships learn how to disagree without disrespecting each other.
I tip like normal, because they are clearing and bringing me drinks - ostensibly MORE work than non-buffet. My opinion!
Seriously, why is this such a hard concept to grasp? I don't fight with my boyfriend and we've never had one. Disagreements? Yes because I'm a die-hard Batman fan, but that's about it.
Some people really pick their battles and let most things go. My parents have been married over three decades and never fight. My boyfriend and I rarely have arguments about anything. I really despise the whole "healthy couples regularly get into fights" trope.
I've been with my boyfriend for 11 years (SHUT UP MOM, I KNOW WE SHOULD BE MARRIED BY NOW), and we've never had what I would call a fight. Arguments, yes. But no fights. No raised voices, no yelling, no drama.
The worst is when you know someone is intentionally not leaving 20% because they're miffed at God knows what, and so I end up leaving a 40 or 50% tip on my share of the bill that I can't really afford to leave but I don't want the waiter to get stiffed. This goes double if the bad tipper refuses to listen to me about…
If you read the story in Genesis of the tree of knowledge with an objective eye, it becomes abundantly clear that the guy trying to provide knowledge (the serpent) is the hero, and the guy trying to suppress it (god) is the villain.
Satanism is by no means a blooddripping horrorshow confined to the woods on full moon thursdays. I personally find it somewhat nefarious, but only because it's philosophy of selfishness above all is inspired by Ayn Rand's Objectivism which is about as far removed from my socialist beliefs as can be. Satanism actually…
