How come you cant bring them to a track day? They both have roll hoops. As long as you pass the broomstick test, you should be able to DE these, Wheel to wheel you’d want a full cage, but for autox/track DEs, these would be fine.

You’re exactly right, the distance is pretty much predicated by how much you’re saving. You have to figure in the cost of tolls and gas, and the opportunity cost of your time spent during the endeavor. You can also take into account the cost of shipping the car to you if it pays, as well.

I love the fact they are doing the test outside, in the dirt, in real life. It’s not like hitting a perfectly square block at a perfect 30mph, this thing hits a dirt mound and lets chaos take over the rest. The only way you can engineer for this, is to do it right! No defeat devices here :P
