I’m voting CP because I’m going to buy a 996 in the next 6 months, and I want to flood the market with more negative feelings about it to drive the cost down.
I love this gif, it always cracks me up..up and away!
I remember having a lengthy conversation with a non-car enthusiast coworker about what his idea of the best car on the market at the time was. He had then recently bought a Ford Fiesta (it was a low spec’d S) and was adamant that the car was the best on the market due to it’s low cost (initial purchase, gas,…
COTD so hard, I can’t even
I didn’t know there was a splitter under there to pass air over the turbo, that’s pretty sweet! After a FMIC install, I would try to guide all the air from the scoop to cool the cold side of the turbo, and wrap the hell out of the hot side/downpipe/exhaust manifolds.
I know, it’s a more efficient location that doesn’t get heatsoaked as easy, at the sacrifice for slightly less throttle response due to the longer piping needing to get pressurized by the turbo. I was merely alluding to the fact that the scoop would no longer be used to cool the intercooler.
I think it’s more along the fact that the scooby hood-scoop is there to feed a top mount intercooler. So, having a front mount intercooler makes the hood scoop superfluous. I think on older scoobies, the hood scoop worked under a certain speed, then once you reach above that airspeed, the scoop works backwards…
Where else can you compare multiple manufacturers in the same place? I think you hit the nail on the head when you were trying the paddle shifters on a bunch of cars. The sensation of the feel of the seats, the seating position, the steering wheel, the paddle shiffter/location of the shift knob..... they’re still…
They don’t talk about their testing methods, so killerhurtalot4’s question still stands. It seems like they’re testing how the wheel would react when hitting a curb/pot hole straight on. These wont bend, duh, so it looks like they were testing how much abuse they can really take before cracking. I guess that amount of…
Because it's not the same bang for your buck. The opportunity cost of buying any used car cash for around 20% less than a new car is MORE than 20%.
For example, if you finance the new car for 2%, and make 8% returns on investments, the loan is free, and you're actually making money on the deal. You still pay the cost…
When I bought my FoST last year, it was EXACTLY the same. The salesman kept writing down monthly payments on a piece of blank printer paper with a sharpie. After he wrote the first number, I said clearly, "I don't want to talk monthly payments, I want to talk total. I may have financing from another institution, I…
Came here to post this. I need to find this show and watch it right now.
UGH, why don't they bring this to the states? Ford hits home runs with their global platform Fiestas and Foci...HONDA, TAKE NOTICE!
Now that this is out, where do we see SLS used prices going? I really like the car, and want it to depreciate into feasibly attainable numbers. The SLS was first sort of a one time thing, but now since Merc-AMG is going to continue producing this sort of vehicle, the SLS (in my mind) SHOULD become more pedestrian. …
Until a 4+ inch iPhone screen appears, and then adoring iFans will line up to call it revolutionary, exciting, even magical. And when those outside the Reality Distortion Field point out that other manufacturers did it first and Apple was only catching up to the competition, they'll say "yeah but Apple was the one who…
Well, ESC is mandated by law, so we definitely need that button. iStop just uses the ECU, so no real added weight. The adaptive lights, lane departure warning, blind spot warning better be options, because that adds complexity and weight to the system (albeit not that much weight, but still...this is MIATA LIFE!). …
Yea, it really matters where you're located for that $2k miata. Around NYC, NA/NB Miatas listed under 4k are basket cases.....but a quick search around the PA area yields some possibilities.
I was there too, I even got to sit in the i8!!!
