The first Boom Blox did fairly well. It sold over 1m units worldwide. It did well enough for EA to consider a sequel... which despite being a better game, sold far worse than the first, at about 400k units worldwide. Just clarifying.

Why? There's nothing wrong with component cables. It's capable of 1080p, just like HDMI is. Only difference is you have up to five plugs (three video, two audio) versus one, and the video is NOT encrypted (which is a good thing).

I guess as part of shrinking down a GBA to such a miniscule size, they removed the Game Boy Color's Z80 processor that GBA and GBA SP had (they did not emulate GBC via software, it was hardware emulation). Shame, though, that they couldn't have just solved this with a software-based emulator...
