As a family split on this issue from time immemorial, we have always had two trees. Verily this tradition has passed from grandparent to parent and now to the present Conner homestead as well.

In my opinion, the more we talk about Katniss's relationships (EVEN IN A FEMINIST CONTEXT) the less we talk about HER. I'm tired of the American media dissecting the love triangle, because frankly, even if we're talking about the way it should have been, we're detracting Katniss as a character.

This is a tribute to what a devoted mom can accomplish and is incredibly bad ass.

I think that it's because women are fed a whole bunch of lies, yes fucking lies, about how you will never, ever get pregnant after 30. As a woman who had an abortion at 29 while on the pill (remember when those BC pills were pulled off the market two years ago guess what I was taking) and a subsequent in depth…
Let's all ask the Today show to invite Simone Jhingoor back to talk about the Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation. In no uncertain terms! It's easy, there's a contact form at: http://www.today.com/id/29041920/ns…
They didn't even kiss! Sooo awkward. This proposal was allllll about him.
Ugh. I'd be so pissed. Obviously the producers (and her boyfriend) assumed that getting engaged/married is the TOP priority in any woman's life, so any annoyance she'd have at not getting to talk about her accomplishments would be overshadowed by the joy of getting married. Blah.
C'mon, lifetime heterosexual monogamy is way more important than her career, obvs.
I'm going to assume he was talking about the up-and-comers who actually want to be on SNL, not the established women of colour in the industry.
As long as it's okay to be white women speculating on race issues, I'd like to speculate that none of us know how many women of color auditioned for an SNL part, and of those, how many of them were actually good. The women you listed may be great, but they probably didn't throw their hats in the ring.

This from the team that counts Ozzie "Backflips" Smith among its club legends.
Because it is still an important social commentary on the way stars are portrayed. These are the women that our children look up to and it's a false image that perpetuates our unobtainable culture of perfection. Until we start demanding the authentic thing, we're going to be continually fed crap. Why can't Britney…
I know I've posted this here before, but just in case anyone else needs convincing that the Roots should make ALLLLL the kiddie music. Seriously, I love this so much.
