No it's totally the car manufacturers fault, they should have installed a 'tow' function, duhh.

They could still have reflective road side line and centerline paint but it would just help the person that's actually driving, and imagine the heads up display lines like a lay over of the lines how you would see them on the road, like augmented reality something like google glass is doing. How about a heads up display that shows where the lines are via localized GPS that you could calibrate like you would your rear view mirror so that where your looking it would meet up with your perspective..
