“...Scrubbing Gear?!”
It’ll be an espionage-action game about an under-appreciated man who has to escape from an evil spa manufacturer before he’s turned into a janitor.
Well, let me be as clear as possible. Back when I broke the news of microtransactions in the first place, my sources — people who were familiar with Bungie’s long-term plans — made it clear that they’d drawn a line at “cosmetic only.” I’m guessing plans have changed since those sources were in the loop.
My concern, which I think mirrors a lot of other players’, is that this is yet another step closer to the line between “good” and “bad” microtransactions, and that the next move is Bungie selling engrams and consumables that increase loot drops and other stuff that actually impacts the game in a negative way for…
One of the reasons this specifically is a shock is that since Microtransactions were announced Bungie went on record saying they wouldn’t sell something like this.
And that price us fucking stupid. Anyone who pays $30 for something that takes 6 hours of fun gameplay is an idiot. Getting to 40 in Destiny is fun. The…
Anyone remember Curiosity, the game Peter Molyneux made with a slightly similar “the whole world is playing it” feel?
That letter makes me feel all warm, fuzzy, and happy inside.
I’d settle for just the understanding that there is absolutely room for innovation and for more of the same, and that having one doesn’t take away from the other.
Right? I legitimately feel for Square here. No matter what they do with the remake they’ve kicked a hornet’s nest, because they’ve either changed too much or not enough. I’m cautiously optimistic, a lot of it is going to depend on pricing and such for me in addition to actual gameplay. They’ve kind of suggested…
I reckon the people complaining about repetition/stagnation aren’t the ones complaining about change. Just look at all the “debate” over the FF7 remake.
Gamers are always belly aching about not having good games or ‘sequels, remakes blah blah’ its always funny when we get a game that isn’t a sequel or remake, that’s indy made and is successful but GOD forbid if it goes after the sacred OOT/SMG/VII slot. Then its not a game and doesn’t deserve any accolades. LOL!
Seriously, can the gaming community as a whole decide if we want innovation or not? Because everyone bitches about the lack of it and then ignores or berates any game or system that gives them a new perspective on anything. I don’t think Undertale is the OMG BEST GAME EVER, but it’s absolutely a solidly constructed…
On that note, it’s the people that hate a fandom that are always more considerably vocal than the fans, themselves, I’ve noticed.
Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand this line of thinking, but I tried to stop myself looking at things this way once I realized that these obnoxious fanbases are usually made up of enthusiastic people who are seeing identities and ideals they identify with explored for the first time in mediums that they love…
Keep in mind hijacking GFaqs polls is nothing new. The L-Block from Tetris once won the Character Battle contest .
I know, right? Practically every conflict in BD could have been disarmed if Braev and Edea would have actually talked to each other at some point.
That sounds about right.
It’s bigger on the inside!
Any time Kinoko Nasu is expected to write any sort of h-scene, he completely and utterly fails, with amusing consequences.
