Good to hear. Comments have been one of my favorite parts of Kotaku in particular as well as the rest of the network, but I can't deny that I've also seen some of the biggest asshats ever here as well.

I've never understood why Patricia gets so much more hate than anyone else here.
If you don't like her articles, don't read them. It's not like the author name was any more hidden in the old layout.

Fair enough. God knows how useless they are. I was just wondering because it's something I hear every time a redesign happens, and it doesn't make any sense to me.

I was just thinking about that...if you have to be followed to have your comments actually appear, what's to stop anyone from just not allowing critical comments to be seen at all?

I know, it's a privately owned site, we don't have a right to be seen, all that jazz. However, I don't think it exactly encourages critical

Serious question - I've only ever heard this, and I have no idea if it's true or not.

Doesn't the owner of the whole Gawker network pretty much want to get rid of comments altogether?

Not gonna lie, as much as I'm not a fan of this design, I'll be glad if it makes the spambots quieter.

Absolutely agree - pure, blinding white isn't nice on the eyes and doesn't look like Kotaku.

Any design you have to explain to the audience is typically a bad one.

That's a shame, because i09 looks AWFUL now.

Did the 360 version ever get the last patch? I'd read it was going to help the load times. Last I'd heard, it came out on PS3, but was being delayed for 360 with no sign of when it was coming out....

First thing that pops to mind for me is El Shaddai.

I think the difference is Nintendo clearly doesn't give a crap about Mother as far as the US goes. They've pretty much made it clear that they have no plans to do anything with it at all, so they saw it as harmless to them.

You know, for while now I've tried to understand just why I enjoy achievements so much.

Ha. I might actually chip in on this one.

I actually struggled through Lost Odyssey purely for the memories. They were THAT GOOD.

It takes some serious balls to try to set up a store after that whole incident a couple weeks ago.

Parappa and Patapon. The game itself really doesn't interest me that much, but I like those two so much that it's tempting purely for them. :P

There's one of these literally around the corner from where I work. Every time I walk by and see it lit up, attract mode blaring, it makes me smile.
