And when the console breaks and the next gen console is (yet again) not backwards compatible you can be comforted by the fact that you still own the disc. You can’t play it anymore for obvious reasons. But hey, you stuck to your guns based on a hypothetical scenario that has yet to happen.

The entire final season of Killing Eve wasn’t good but that finale killed any interest in rewatching the series over again from the start.  This is an excellent example of how the destination CAN ruin the journey it took to get there.

Yes, the series had a lot of ways it foreshadowed the mother’s death. However, the thing with foreshadowing is many times you don’t pick up on it until you rewatch the series. Just because YOU picked up on it the first time doesn’t mean those that didn’t are “a dumb fuck”.

I recently sat down to rewatch BSG.  I made it a little way into s3 before I stopped.  I just can’t watch that anymore, it’s not enjoyable.

And this is why people get angry when their head canon isn’t acknowledged.  If something is only eluded to but not explicitly spelled out, it’s easy to ignore the parts they don’t like.  That way they can continue to say things like “that relationship was considered platonic”.

So here’s the real issue. It’s not necessarily the fact games are simply more expensive, it’s that a lot of games that get released these days aren’t even worth the 60 bucks they want to charge, let alone 70.
