A sweet ride, as seen through the eyes of someone whose parents had lousy taste in automobiles.

Didn’t read due to pretentious title, did I miss anything?

I basically got that you stuck a guy who does not car into a nice car and he thought it was maybe a nice car as did his kid.

Um, the Bolt exists. GM is arguably better positioned for the future than everyone save Toyota. They’re light years ahead of the other American companies. Ford’s EcoBoost is less eco and more hype. Chrysler is barely worth mentioning for anything less than 8 cylinders or 7 grille slats.

I disagree. GM appears to be putting things in place. Casting their nets out further. Watching their flanks. What their end game is? I’m not entirely sure. But, between the; Electric Bolt, Diesel ZR2 and rumored mid-engined C8, I’m more optimistic about GM’s “eco” future. Ford and FCA on the other hand? Not so much.

Please tell that to Sergio........

All of the cars GM currently makes that people actually like and want to buy (The Cruze)

Who pay substantially more than $20 for it, right?

I think it’s pretty clear that to call this a Beta test is pretty fucking generous.

“... hit a set of spike strips going 115 MPH, subsequently barreled off of the road and into a drainage ditch, launched the truck into the air and landed on a car parked at a restaurant”

I can’t say objectively that Lyft is ethically better, but anecdotally every driver I’ve ever talked to that has done both Lyft and Uber strongly prefers working for Lyft. That’s from a sample size of about 15 different drivers.

Valuation of Uber is a joke. It will implode once the subsidies end.

It’s like the unholy love child of a crew cab and an l-body challenger, had this been normal I’d NP, but you’d have to pay me to drive this in public, CP

13.5 psi gives 575 lb-ft of torque at 500 rpm.

The only reason non-union employers have similar wages and benefits to union employers is because they have to in order to draw the labor. That’s one of the side perks of unions: They keep other employers honest, too.

Yep and here is the moldy interior after just 1 week:

My mind has been boggled. I would love to here the story behind this behavior.

Well...

Plot Twist: This is an elaborate Jeep PR stunt, and the car that will be revealed upon the garage’s excavation is actually the new 2019 Wagoneer.
