You know...

I thought I would see several nasty, discriminatory comments against gay people in general, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Or maybe I'm just not seeing them because they weren't approved. Anyway, well done, people of Kotaku for a nice, respectful discussion for a well-done Portal themed proposal!

Good for those guys. Hopefully we can get to the point where gay guys can just get married already . Who are they hurting?

Jealous! I love being around proposals. Doesn't matter if I know the people or not. They make me all happy and weepy and put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Any time someone finds love I just want to celebrate.

One is wearing orange, and the other blue... like portals. Big gay adorable bearded portals.

I was there! They had Portal Cake pops to give away, shaped like companion cubes. It was a really nice event.

That's a wonderfully adorable proposal. So happy to know about to know two people can bond over their mutual love of gaming and incorporate that element of their lives into important events as these.

Also, anything that pisses bigots off gets a double thumbs up from me and a middle finger at people who don't like it

Ooh, a measured and well presented arguement? Your kind is not welcome here!

They should make a function on that reputation system to record and send the last 5 minutes of racist and/or homophobic ranting their 12 year olds did. Half of them wouldn't care, no doubt but I'm sure it would at least make shooter games a little quieter.

I would've thought Valve had made this, seeing as how they have all this free time available, you know, not making Half-Life 3.

Yes, because developing games means you are literally required to be insulted, mocked and treated like trash on a daily basis like Phil is.

six thousand one hundred and fifty seven cheese on the floor, six thounsand one hundred and fifty seven, you take one out of your bag and toss it around, six thousand one hundred and fifty eight cheese on the floor!

Fus Goudah?

Xbox One is looking more and more like a true next-gen console.

Why would they remove the Kinect? It's a part of the console and part of the appeal. It's bringing next gen features to the table that can't be said for other consoles.

And if you knew anything about PRISM, you'd know it had nothing to do with tapping webcams in any way, shape or form

I wholeheartedly agree. Why am I less of a driver (to some people, less of a person) because my car isn't a manual? I understand the idea behind why manuals are "better" but come on, let's stop with the high-horse stuff. I'm an enthusiast as much as the next guy, and saying I'm not just because my car shifts for me

(On the manual transmission thing): It's not fair to say that manufacturers have to push emissions impossibly low. They have to push them very reasonably low, they just don't want to invest the R&D money when they're already doing well so the government has to mandate it.
