I've been wondering if the "Villager is a Psychopath" meme has taken off among Smash fans in Japan like it has here. Is our reaction to him just a cultural thing or do the Japanese find him as creepy as we do?

Likening an unpleasant situation with a man in control to a situation where one would need to "relax," take it, with an assurance that the unpleasantness would "all be over soon..." I really don't know how that could be interpreted as anything but. I'm sorry I may look like a fucking idiot, but apparently you are one.
