Depending on the situation, it’s reasonable that the first officer might be managing communications with the flight controller and the cabin while the captain focuses on maintaining control of the airplane, or vice versa. Yeah, you could also use that information to incentivise your kids to manage their own play time. Give them generous amounts of play time and reward them if they voluntarily stop playing before time is up or before the curfew is hit, that sort of thing.
