When I see statements like "I basically write off the rest of what that person has to say," I basically write off the rest of what that person has to say. :P

Thanks for this. Delicate, inspired trolling. A testament to trolling not as disruptive hate-mongering but as art. If only more trolls understood that the best way to troll someone isn't to get them angry at you— it's to make them believe. Magnificent and astonishing. 9 bridges out of 10!
Wrong movie, friend.
This is wildly cool, but while I was watching this episode of Ruby I couldn't help but think that those explosions would make controlling the nunchaku virtually impossible.
Considering that the surface area of the blades that consists of "edge" is by design very very small, hitting yourself with these isn't always going to be much of a problem even if they are sharp. You're more likely to get the flat of the blade than anything else.
There are also some materials you can't get unless you go out at night.
Crane's most powerful abilities are located at the upper-most levels of each of his three skill trees. Similar to leaving out guns or molotovs, cutting off things like the head-stomp make it much more difficult to execute one-hit kills. Leaving out the grappling hook, meanwhile, keeps Crane's parkour moves a bit…
Does anyone mind explaining the Q in LGBTQ? If it's for "queer," I was under the impression that "queer" was a derogatory term that is essentially synonymous with "gay," so I don't understand why the community would want that as part of their initialism.
Yeah, an accurate space war game would be more like a cross between submarine combat, sniping, and drone strikes...
I've heard tell that Dying Light started out as a Dead Island sequel, but the design team had a couple different conflicting ideas for it. So the development branched into two different projects because the team wanted to pursue both paths. One of those branches was Dead Island 2 and the other ended up being Dying…
You're blowing this out of proportion. The app is entirely superfluous. As I mentioned, I don't use it and I definitely have no problems getting materials and loot. It's just another way to get things that are already plenty easy to acquire in-game. I promise, not using it doesn't disadvantage you in any way.
Why the hell would that make you not want to buy the game? It's not like you need the companion app for anything. I haven't used the companion app and I'm swimming in crafting materials just from looting, taking advantage of quartermasters, and buying crafting materials.
Grappling combined with the stomp move is a great anti-Viral strategy. They're not nearly so threatening when you can toss them around and then stomp their heads off.
I've yet to actually break a human's legs in Dying Light. That's certainly not for a lack of trying. Most of the time they're able to dodge, and when you do hit them they seem to just fall over without suffering a break.
That's odd, because most of that paragraph was complementary to rugby.
High fantasy is simply defined as a story that takes place separate from the real world. Basically, if the story isn't taking place on historical Earth, it's high fantasy. This means that if the setting is a completely different world (whether it be a different planet in the same universe or an alternate universe…
Gold standard in my mind is Shadow of the Colossus, still. Red Dead Redemption only barely falls short of the incredible Agro.
I'm hoping that The Witcher will compare admirably against Dragon Age's horsemanship. Whoever designed the system for horses in that game obviously never actually bothered to ride or possibly look at a single live horse.
The subject matter is adult, too, and not in the puerile X-rated way. Though it's heavy on the sex and violence, it's also heavy on politics, racial tension and human darkness. That's another thing it shares with the Game of Thrones TV series - plenty of people came to that for the boobs and blood and ended up staying…
I think the slowdowns are related to splatter and other effects on the camera. It seems to happen frequently with spit from toads and the flash you get when a zombie tackles you. There might also be a connection to high dynamic contrast in the lighting.
