They are actually pretty accurate due to the recoil mechanism inside them. They have a vertical spring behind the magazine and a rail that rests above the barrel. Even though its 45 ACP, you can shoot it full auto with just one hand.

I think Certain Affinity needs more credit than is given, they have done a lot to help build the Halo games' multiplayer maps.

Microsoft's strength lies in software, creating a "walled garden" that only exists virtually would appeal to this. Instead of just buying Apple hardware and software, you merely buy Microsoft Software as a Service products. Their ecosystem exists virtually, with only a handful of devices ie xbox as hardware devices.
