Look at my 3rd paragraph. I specifically said it’s a deal on the used market more than anything else. You can get a 1 or 2 year old model with low miles and a CPO warranty for like $30k. That’s a screaming deal in my mind. Also I’m sure you can get a big discount on a new one.

Yeah, the IS is definitely a sportier car with a nicer interior. The Acura is a little larger than the Lexus though and is more of a value proposition, especially when you consider a used TLX SHAWD or start looking at adding technology like adaptive cruise and cooled seats. The Acura is also just a bit of a softer car

Steering feel isn’t great, but there aren’t really any sedans you can buy right now in that segment that have decent steering feel anyway. I would say it’s more comparable to a Mercedes E-Class than a BMW 3 series but that’s more what they were going for. It’s a luxury car that drives well, not a drivers car that has

Oh, I intentionally pronounce it as “shawd” one syllable, rhymes with “clawed”. I don’t think I’ve said the full acronym as individual letters in years.

The TLX V6 SH AWD is a seriously underrated vehicle. With the 19" wheels and some reasonable tires it’s an absolute monster in the twisties. It’s absolutely shocking how much grip it has and how good the torque vectoring AWD is. Transmission really isn’t too bad either as long as it’s in sport+.

“What happens if the engine stops?”

Governor Rick Snyder is a republican.

This should be the new way refer to Sergei Brin. He doesn’t get to be anything else anymore.

This is not a 1% sales tax when you first buy a car in Montana, it’s a 1% tax per car per year. I’m pointing out that their annual tax exceeds the cost for registration in many, if not most states. Eventually you would pay back all that money you saved on sales tax if you kept the car registered in Montana for long

S550 Maybach just came out last year and is super rare. I see lots of S600s and S600 Maybachs around but I’ve never seen an S550 Maybach ever. There’s probably not even 84 of them in the entire country, let alone just registered in Montana.

I’m talking about an S550 (non-Maybach). It’s less than half the price of an S600 Maybach and under the $150,000 minimum for Montana’s law. The S550 specifically should not be on that list.

Based on my car and some cars from people I know, those per year registration costs are way higher than in other states.

One of these things is not like the others.

If I went straight to the airport right now and got on the next flight I could probably make it.

The publication is not called “the San Francisco Gate”, it’s called “SFGate”. Pronounced S-F-gate.

That doesn’t mean the BMW CCA shouldn’t make an exception to bmw owners. Just because the events are open doesn’t mean they can’t make special accommodation for their club’s namesake rather than excluding a much of members’ cars.

These systems are the same as TCS/stability control. They’re not “nannies” in the same way those systems are because they only intervene in really specific scenarios with really specific inputs. They’re not as completely integrated into the driving of the car like stability control is. It’s easy to know that when it’s

Considering that they make you sign a bunch of waivers I don’t think they would be liable. It’s acknowledged that going out on a track is a risk to some extent.

No you don’t. In my car it’s stays off until I manually turn it back on.

This isn’t traction control and stability control though.
