Nice write up. The badge engineering of this does seem a bit strange.
If it’s high humidity then the windows can fog up, so in higher temperatures the defroster works as a de-fogger for the rear window. I use mine as such most mornings on my sedan (doesn’t get below freezing here).
It’s okay because if you still want to buy a new car that feels like it’s based on horrendously outdated technology there’s the 370Z.
The Uber and Lyft app have both of these things. It shows a rendering of the car in the correct color and generation (not a picture but just as good, if not better because it’s clearer) and there’s a map that shows your location and the location of car picking you up.
The previous administration apparently turned down this exact mission on multiple occasions because it was too risky and there was not enough intel. Even though the new administration didn’t necessarily know it would turn out this poorly, they were given the same information as the previous administration and made the…
Or a monkey (or rather an ape).
I don’t really understand your point. Are you saying that I should get a car that’s easier to break into to so when someone wants to steal my stuff they cause less damage doing it?
Ah, but here’s the thing about a car trunk vs a safe: If you stuck a crow bar along the trunk of a car like that the sheetmetal would just bend or the crow bar would just punch through instead of the trunk opening. The pry bar and crow bar would just peel off the outer layer of sheet metal instead of actually opening…
I’m not saying the car can’t be dragged, but it would make ton of noise with all the wheels locked and the wide, sticky tires.
The latch isn’t right on the surface, its below the trunk edge and a few inches inside the bumper. The (metal) bumper would have to be cut off first and then you’d have to go through the sheet metal and some of the crash structure. I can’t imagine that it would be easy to hold a large and powerful circular saw…
The button to open the trunk doesn’t work if you don’t have the key.
There is no way you could cut a hole in the trunk of a sedan in less than 10 minutes. A battery powered angle grinder isn’t even going to come close to doing the job either. A 120V or 240V reciprocating saw would be the fastest and even then it would take a matter of minutes, if not longer. The trunk of a modern car,…
It’s a D4 Audi A8L.
All you’ve done is make me curious about what buzzare car stereo maxes out at 20. What a random number.
It has AWD and 265 mm tires so dragging it away would be hard to say the least.
“No car is ever safe.”
Hearing Spicer say that not calling the mission in Yemen a success is a disservice to CPO Owens was genuinely frighting.
I watched the entirety of Conway’s CNN interview with Jake Tapper and while she did concede on those points (because how do you defend making up an event that didn’t happen?) she was still dodging almost all of his questions and completely refused to address the crisis caused by the President and Press Secretary…
The newest of the Merc GLS, Volvo XC90, Audi Q7, Suburban/Yukon, and Expedition all have decent 3rd rows in my experience. Sure, you’re not getting an over-six-foot person back there for more than a couple minutes but they’re spacious enough to fit kids or average height people if not a little tightly.
