99.9% of you will probably think my opinion on this is wrong/misguided or messed up, and you might be right! But the Nissan Murano Convertible and the Land Rover Evoque I kind of like in a quirky kind of way. Saw a RARE Murano convertible top down parked two months ago and just something about it that was just so

I agree with Tom McParland about the Volvo except I would go with the Volvo S90. Starts at 52K. I never considered or liked Volvos till I saw a white one in person on the freeway. I had to do a double take because I had no idea Volvo made this thing. Everyone has a BMW, Audi or Mercedes, but to me the Volvo just has

I call that “Nissan Engineering”, it goes back to at least the 1980's. Bring out a design and don’t test it. Wait for all the owners to complain it breaks. Re-design the part and the mounting parts for it. Sell all the new parts to the current owners as if the word “recall” doesn’t exist in your vocabulary. Profit.

Not so much on how much they charge (if you wondering dealer wanted $125/per side) its the quality of the product in the long term. Its pretty well documented that under Ghosn they pushed for quantity and market share over quality. Here is just one article:

I have a Haiku for you Nissan...

If I’m paying 4-6k for a Leaf, I’m looking for a 2014 and later which already has the newer battery chemistry.

I actually committed to buy a 2011 with the lizard battery swap already done last month for $4500. The guy sold it out from under me. Hence the rush to put a deposit down on this one.

Serious Question: These normally now go for about 4K to 8K on the used market with the serve battery degradation. (5o to 60 miles range left) I know you mentioned you were looking for awhile for a leaf. If you didnt find one this affordable would you have considered getting one for 4K to 6K and then swapping it out

Back in the 90s every Chevy dealer I went to always tried to nickle and dime me from the sale to the service. Its like they knew their market will buy it anyway for whatever reason, brand loyalty, price etc. and they always seemed to do the bare minimum unless they could charge me for it. Back then even the waiting

As a fan of the current Accord, I think this is a good thing.

To me it looks like a baby Accord, but I guess all car makers are going in that direction. Baby versions of their bigger cars.

I doubt anyone is going to scroll down this far but I have a thing for open top concept cars by major brands. Like this one from VW:

The new elevated bus/train whatever public transport system that was supposed to alleviate this is only supposed to cost 1.3 jiga-dollars to finish, just like here in Seattle. Paradise doesn’t look so great now.

Heck, this guy’s the least loved Miata of all time and he couldn’t be happier.

I agree! I think sports cars should be Happy not angry.

I actually live here in Hawaii on Oahu!

We had both - the FIAT 500E with one kid and a big dog, and traded that for an i3 REx once we had two kids and the dog. Both used largely as a commuter car during the week and “family car” on the weekend. Both were great, but with differences.

For the 500e, make sure to get 2017 or later. The earlier versions have this ghetto removable nav system thing that sucks.

For a run-about car I am considering a used 500e (1st gen) or a BMW i3 (probably with the gas range extender) Concerns for me (other then the obvious battery degradation) is parts (and cost of parts) when things break and cost of repair. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Can they make this instead? Or is it too much of a concept?

I think it looks SO MUCH better with that lower grille added. It just ties it together so much more. If this is the future design for Acura it might make me actually consider them again.
