If the pillars are really intact there are at least a couple of options:

This is confusing like why is there no Miatas on the list? Isnt that one of the more popular “sports cars” Yet there are Honda Fits and BRZs. So may be it is the type of driver?

I think part of the reason is that maintaining and fixing cars has gotten a lot more complicated and expensive. If something was wrong with your 1960 Mustang you could fix it with a a screwdriver, flathead, a wrench set and a carb kit.

From what I recall when this 4th generation Supra came out there was not much fanfare for it. At least not like there is now. At the time it was expensive, heavy and was considered more of a GT car and if tuned straight line performance. I think nostalgia plays a big role in why these things have gone up in value so…

I agree with you, losing the iconic names like Legend and Integra helped kill the brand, I LOVED Acura in the 90s but I think the death nail was when they came out with that “beak” design language.
