50th State in the nation on an island in the middle of the pacific always feels like the forgotten child.

I am really loving this new design and front end. I have no idea how the Acura “Beak” stuck around for so long? Why that thing was not revised after a year I have no idea. Then they started adding it to their other cars as well!?! Were people actually liking the beak design enough for it to stick around for so long?

Thank You for the support on my comment and refining the reasoning behind an electric miata feather-throttle-not-hair. People like you in this community is why I LOVE Jalopnik and keep coming back.

Mazda does make beautiful cars. I really think an electric Miata would sell like crazy if they can price it under 30K and make it have a range of 200 miles or so. I mean they put so much money into Wankel which is FAR more complex to fix/troubleshoot/refine the sealing issues. Compared to that an Electric Miata should

SAD I googled this new Tycan Turbo and it does NOT have the cool Panamera wing! FAIL!!:

Thank you for the suggestion 4X98 unfortunately the Boxster is not an option for me at this time, insurance costs, maintenance/upkeep costs, reliability and needing something a bit larger with even tiny rear seats for “short/emergency” trips rules out any roadster.

Thanks for the suggestion SaltyIrishman, I do like these IS convertibles, however they are a bit hard to find where I live and those that do come up for sale are unfortunately still about double of what my budget is.

Thank You for the suggestion Texa! I am looking for something a tad bit larger with back seats (even small ones) also up till recently I also had a 2001 e46 (325i) and the 1st gen Z4 is around the same years and no offense as I know you Love your car, but the upkeep on my BMW was so much with all the plastic bits

Digitaluser32. Thanks for the input! Any reason why? Do you have any experiences with the SC430 if I may ask?

Thank You for the insight Elumerere! I considered the Porsche as well even an old fried egg headlight 911 but maintenance and cost upkeep and a very UN-DIY engine bay kind of keeps me away. Also I am not so much of a fan of the interior. The Lexus shares a lot of the parts with other Lexus’s/Lexi? of the time like the

Thank you for the insight Schnell! I heard the backseats on the SC430 are pretty useless anyway so if I do need to transport things I will probably just use that area. I had a Mercedes SLK for awhile before so I know how the storage can be limited.

Thank you for the input Loan Pickle,

Thanks for the insight Elumerere, yes I had the feeling about that for the Mustang vert. If anything I planned to add rims and a simple drop to kind of set it apart from the other rental cars. In fact I am pretty sure with such miles this could have been a rental too. But yes the perception between the two are worlds

Thanks for the input. I had my miata days with a NA back in the day, awesome car and still miss it. I am now looking for something to keep me more comfortable on longer drives yet still have that drop top feel.

I also think that the Lexus when new had a much higher MSRP then the mustang when new and as you mentioned Lexus reliability and reputation accounts for a lot. Plus they were rare to begin in the first place.

Speaking of used cars. Can someone help me decide. I want a convertible something that is reliable and will last me for another 10 years or more and good for long daily commutes and the occasional long weekend drive.

I am not a jeep owner however based upon how many of these rear tire covers I have seen I dont know if Jeep owners actually care about this. I think they know that their jeep can and may roll over at any time.

Here is my problem as a fan of both Toyota and BMW. Also as former owner of a Lexus and a BMW. They both have their own traits. However also downsides.
