Lotus?:

If the pillars are really intact there are at least a couple of options:

Just watched the video that actress was also in the Transporter! Does that make her an official Jalopnik? Here is her imdb:

Not color related, but Honda had a chance to retake the small sports compact market with the CRZ that could have opened the door for these awesome little electric Honda Es to enter the US market. Imagine an alternate timeline where the CRZ came with a 1.8 or 2L motor Stock (with an optional Mugen Turbo) competing head

This is confusing like why is there no Miatas on the list? Isnt that one of the more popular “sports cars” Yet there are Honda Fits and BRZs. So may be it is the type of driver?

YES! Stripe all the things!

I think part of the reason is that maintaining and fixing cars has gotten a lot more complicated and expensive. If something was wrong with your 1960 Mustang you could fix it with a a screwdriver, flathead, a wrench set and a carb kit.

“despite all the M cars, the company had never made a “sports car” since the BMW M1,”

I kind of like the ZL1. It is the one with the least amount of weird “cuts” into the body.

Do you think these 350 and 370Z will be future classics since no one bought them? Is the 300zx vert considered a rare classic?

From what I recall when this 4th generation Supra came out there was not much fanfare for it. At least not like there is now. At the time it was expensive, heavy and was considered more of a GT car and if tuned straight line performance. I think nostalgia plays a big role in why these things have gone up in value so

I agree with you, losing the iconic names like Legend and Integra helped kill the brand, I LOVED Acura in the 90s but I think the death nail was when they came out with that “beak” design language.

Suit up.

Inspiration?

Agree the profanity really thew me off.

I wish they developed at least some of the 2010 concept cars. Looking at where car design is going now they were ahead of their time. Some even look like a Tesla before Tesla! Some even look Huracan like in style way back in 2010!

After watching the video I still dont understand why they needed to make it a hatch back like that if the goal was just to make the body/frame stiffer. Why couldnt they just do a fastback like they did when they made the Z4? Wouldnt that have been cheaper too with less metal and glass?

The first time I learned about off road mustangs was seeing the movie: The Thomas Crown Affair. Before that I had no idea off-road mustangs were a thing.

Thank Evan! Looks GREAT! Really like the first one that retains the bumper structure! Fantastic work!
