Yes it was my understanding that over the years Supras over time got bigger and heavier.

Off topic. But anyone know why they used the BMW Z4 as a platform for the new Supra and not some type of equivalent “Supra flagship” car like the 8 series or 6/7 series platform? Just seems weird that BMWs 2 seat roadster is the basis for the GT type Supra.

I think its the weird hybrid system on the NSX thats keeping sales down (among other things). If I had the money for either a R8 or NSX I would pick the R8 because I have no idea how long term the NSX will be or how difficult it would be to fix that hybrid powertrain in the future. Due to that hybrid powertrain will

Looking back now that Type R wing looks really out of place. Its like its just tacked on there.

Meet the new Supra. Same as the old Supra ...

Was considering a used NC and then ND as the prices came down on used ones. However as a former NA miata owner who has also driven a NB for awhile and test driving both the ND and NC I feel the NC and ND doors seem to be about 2 to 3 inches too high when your driving as to where you feel like you are more “in” the car

Was it this model that created the term “4 door coupe”?

As a current resident I have a unique perspective that many have overlooked and that is to get something reliable, Not German ideally a Toyota or Honda thats good on gas and something comfortable. I agree. I am looking at a used 2015 i3 BEV (battery version only) for $18,500 with less than 20,000 miles.

WOW thanks for the great feedback on the i3! I am on Oahu and my commute is about 20 to 25 miles each way. My fear is that over time that 80 miles might cut it close to the 50 I need without any other detours/stops.

Was looking at things like ducktail spoilers, side skirts (that are not rice) and items like this. There seem to be a lot of options before but many are discontinued.

Great post Kristen! I have been seriously considering a BMW i3 due to the gas cost here in Hawaii and was wondering if any fellow Jalopnik’s have any first hand experience with these? I am on a budget and can only afford the 2015 all electric version (without the gas range extender). Any pros/cons to this version?

A bit controversial but the NB Miata. A slightly better version in comfort and materials than the NA but not a huge advancement like the NC. Its like the lost middle brother. When talking about the NB most car people always bring up Mazdaspeed version once in a conversation as if that was its only saving grace. Even

What I dont understand was Pontiac in general during the early 2000's. Who in development and marketing think they can use the GTO name

A little off topic question but this post reminded me to ask. My friends boss needs a work van (he is a handyman, carpet cleaning, in window air conditioning repair type stuff) He does not want anything too big so something like the small/compact Nissan NV will work.  His main criteria is that its small enough to get

Ok found out they still do make these teddy bear wheels, just not for the US market. So I feel they should bring them back for the US market. :)

Had no idea. I know about a year or two ago they were in demand because they were no longer avaliable and I dont see it on their website any more.
