As a current resident I have a unique perspective that many have overlooked and that is to get something reliable, Not German ideally a Toyota or Honda thats good on gas and something comfortable. Like a Camry or Tacoma Why? Because parts and good mechanics are hard to find, esp in Maui. Thats why many of the

I have been trying to figure out how he became president. Whatever you may think of him I think bottom line is that he is basically a good salesman. See this video on what Barbara Corcoran who worked with him a lot said about him:

I agree. I am looking at a used 2015 i3 BEV (battery version only) for $18,500 with less than 20,000 miles.

WOW thanks for the great feedback on the i3! I am on Oahu and my commute is about 20 to 25 miles each way. My fear is that over time that 80 miles might cut it close to the 50 I need without any other detours/stops.

Was looking at things like ducktail spoilers, side skirts (that are not rice) and items like this. There seem to be a lot of options before but many are discontinued.

Great post Kristen! I have been seriously considering a BMW i3 due to the gas cost here in Hawaii and was wondering if any fellow Jalopnik’s have any first hand experience with these? I am on a budget and can only afford the 2015 all electric version (without the gas range extender). Any pros/cons to this version?

A bit controversial but the NB Miata. A slightly better version in comfort and materials than the NA but not a huge advancement like the NC. Its like the lost middle brother. When talking about the NB most car people always bring up Mazdaspeed version once in a conversation as if that was its only saving grace. Even

What I dont understand was Pontiac in general during the early 2000's. Who in development and marketing think they can use the GTO name

A little off topic question but this post reminded me to ask. My friends boss needs a work van (he is a handyman, carpet cleaning, in window air conditioning repair type stuff) He does not want anything too big so something like the small/compact Nissan NV will work.  His main criteria is that its small enough to get

Ok found out they still do make these teddy bear wheels, just not for the US market. So I feel they should bring them back for the US market. :)

Had no idea. I know about a year or two ago they were in demand because they were no longer avaliable and I dont see it on their website any more.

They should also bring back this classic (they are in such high demand now):

24Kgoldasshole yes I agree. OttoMaddox corrected me though (and I apologized) he said that Hitler and the Nazis were not involved with VW: “The Volkswagen company was founded postwar, and it helped enable Germany to become a peaceful, prosperous, democratic nation after the war.” So Hitler and the Nazis didnt have a

OttoMaddox I already apologized for saying that the Nazis or hitler had a role in VW.

Sorry my bad. I didnt realize the photo of the VW bug in the picture was a doctored photo. Seemed real to me. I thought hitler hired Porsche to build a “peoples” car for him and thats where the VW Beetle came from. Maybe it was just folklore. Dont think Kinja allows me to delete the post once its up. Sorry.

True VW did some awful things. The monkey one breathing diesel fumes was especially bad. I LOVE this particular story though and am really happy for this woman.
