They are not as bad as people think in reliability as long as you change the oil regularly and drive it within reason (which is hard to do because the rotary wants to rev forever) they last for a long while.

Looking forward to the delivery with that special lady from $kaycog to sfmikee. ;)
They did make a NB coupe (Japan only) but they do have hardtops and power retractable hardtops for the new NC miatas.
Dont forget to give props to sfmikee
Jason look at the other thread before this they found the street the photo was taken on. Hurry go get it and call the cops before it moves.
Someone get that car before it moves!!
THATS IT!!!! SFMIKEE YOU ARE AWESOME!!
Ya the more I think about it with the geo tag gone and so many pics it seems like there MIGHT be another motive like he wants money or something. Esp the way its worded "I know where your car is. I saw it driving today and I have pictures. How can I get in contact with you?" Seems like he wants to talk to him…
I am thinking he might be holding out for some type of reward or something.
You guys think this guy is holding out for some kind of reward or something. Seems kinda fishy to take the time to post the pics and not call the cops or just post the address.
You think this guy is holding out for some type of reward to be posted or something?
I think you need to look a bit into the future. The fact that rotary engines can run on different types of fuels is a big plus I believe, plus the light weight and the ability to produce high revs. Perfect for a hybrid car keeping the weight down and producing high voltage from different fuel sources.
They should put that design language (a more aggressive front end) on the most recent miata.
If they kept making this then I think Mazda would still be successful. To me still the most beautiful car to be made anywhere by any company. Even with the popups and not so reliable oil eating rotary I think people will still buy these on looks alone.
If they kept making this and worked on the rotary a bit more to make it reliable I think Mazda would still be able to sell them. Why get a "wanna-be" Porsche when you can get a real sporty VW? Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the VW SP2. A TRUE Volkswagen with the looks of a Porsche. (at least if you lived in Brazil, which I never have but if I did I may have picked one of these instead, but who knows)
I am thinking classic BBS basket weaves?
