I used MSE with 7 and I recommend it to all family and friends. It is free, and more importantly, never annoys you with fucking prompts and pop ups to get you to upgrade to a premium. I will continue to recommend it even after reading this.

I got my 360 to work last night by deleting the update and clearing my HDD cache. I already had a character created but kept getting stuck at Waiting for players/Loading session for the first race tutorial mission. Doing these things got me passed that and able to play all of Online.

I was pretty surprised when I tried on day 2 and was still unable to connect (this time the cloud servers were flat out unavailable). I'll give it a try again tonight but don't have high hopes. Is this a "bug" or by design? To me it seems like it is by design. By reading data from two different inputs it is able to get information faster. If you install the play disc then that cuts into the overall read speeds of the internal HDD.

I thought you could use a bigger drive, but only the defined amount of space would be made available. I will give it a try and post back.
