Nice, I ony just got back to gaming on my PC because of DayZ. The constant need to update hardware in order to stay competitive is what drove me away, especially when I was young and broke. But now most of my friends are on console, and gaming with friends is the best way to play.

At least if a kid pc games he has the chance of learning about computers. I'd say pc gaming is a main influence why I am now an IT pro. Ironically, I now mainly console are.
