StarOcean had those characters look like that in-game.

When they revealed the game they only showed the world, the mechs and the characters but only from behind. It was like that for a long time. And they revealed the true title and the faces in a trailer and man... It was a bit turn-off for me.

I thoght the original ghosts didn't have names, they only got names when they came to the west to appeal more to people...
