The last few years we’ve had very few people to celebrate thanksgiving. Giant turkey breast in the instant pot. Worked great.

Totally aware of this. My phone does present the subjects, etc, but I’m still not going to consider them in the middle of the night.  Just me.

Exactly. ‘cept mine starts at 8pm. Had to turn off the multiple ring mode as well since if the wife leaves her phone in the car or at work the inlaws (who call 2x most evenings...) will then call my phone multiple times because they think we’re all dead.  I do not answer, either. So you’d think they’d learn...

If there was an app that could tell you that, then I’d be on board for sure. But this is just an email that says “you bought a thing”.

Perhaps OT, because this is genuinely an alarming way to ‘help’ customers, but.

At 3am (or any time in my normal sleep cycle) there isn’t a phone notification that is important enough to read. I check the time on my phone (or watch if it’s on) and gladly drift back into lala land. Yes, I see the blips. IDGAF. It is

Yup, needs 16-24V @30VA, which means, most likely, if you have one of those crappy intercom systems in your house from the 80's, you might just be up crap creek without any power.

Covering up the taste of <something> with other stuff is fine. And if, as a rule, you have to cover up the taste of that <something> in order to ‘like’ it, that’s fine too. And, yes, it means you probably don’t actually like <something> all that much.

Sigh... if you have to heavily doctor drip coffee* to ‘like’ it, you probably don’t like coffee all that much. Or you’re just looking for the effects.

But, probably the best way (IMHO) to tone down coffee, which I sometimes do if my stomach gets upset) is to brew/pour a cup into 2oz of half and half. It’ll steam up the

For 27º F weather? Yeesh, I wear my Marmot Gravity shell until the temp dips below 10º F (I’m from MN, where it’s jeans and a parka regardless of temp).

If your delicate tushy is getting chilly, though, you want an insulated trench coat. The stuff at Macy’s will look nice, but it won’t keep you warm down to the single

If the laser can keep cool enough and fire a long enough pulse, it’ll clear the path.

My bad. I thought the OP was referring to your first trip, where you said you’d worn “old shoes”. I’m not suggesting that you wore high heels, but I do know people who use the same old pair of shoes for everything they do. And their feet are.. well, not a pretty sight.

It’s a fair question, even if the tone isn’t so nice. I used to live near the parks and had to go all the time. There are always women walking around in high heels, wincing at every step, pretending that fashion could possibly be more important than function.

I had some southern sausage infused stuffing ages ago and it was the best stuffing I’ve ever had. Smoked turkey in the stuffing is okay, but I don’t feel like it really does any good. I’ve had the recipe above almost to the letter a couple times and, to be honest, I’d much rather have it without the meat.

Smoked

For the uninitiated, know that it is not cardamom flavored, though if someone served me a cardamom liqueur, I would certainly drink it. The wine-based aperitif has a vermouth-y sweetness, but cardoon and blessed thistle (two artichoke cousins) give it a woodsy (not vegetal) Cynar Lite sensibility. It has an earthy,

Like most non-competes, I doubt that even a signed commitment would have any legal binding without some specific compensation in the contract pertaining to the length of the commitment.

I’ve used AirBnB a few times with my family. Never had any problems, thankfully, but as time goes on, I’m less and less likely to do so. What really sucks is that at some point it’s going to be nearly impossible to break into renting on the platform because of your lack of reviews. Oh well..

It’s worth a shot. It seems like there's always new players in the $20-30 spirit range. Either because they're new or I never ran into them.

Camarena, IMHO, is the best sub $30 tequila available.
