I proposed at a restaurant many years back. I had called ahead to make the reservation and let them know what I’d be doing, and really to ask if they’d be okay with it and how best to do so at their place.

Exec 1: We need to make our trucks stand out
Exec 2: And we need more money
Exec 3: <while playing a haunted house stage on Super Mario World> What if we made them look like a Boo covering its eyes?
Exec 1: WTF are you talking about?
Exec 2: That’s stupid
Exec 3: It would mean another piece of body that would get damaged…
I’ve gone through a couple of Amazon tablets in the last few years and I never want to use them again. I mean, a $50 for a tablet is superb, but I can’t bring myself to use their stuff again. Our family used to have three tablets, but now we’re down to a single tablet that’s ~4 years old and since it’s generally just…

I do all my workouts in the outdoors all year long at about 0500. Everything depends on the windspeed and if it’s raining (neither of which stops me from going out, only sleep deprivation).
Going from 1.4 -> 2.0 may require you to replace your cables if you have cables that aren’t fully 2.0 compliant. I wasn’t thinking about it when I ordered these and I had to replace them all (they were $40 when I bought them) when I bought a 4k TV with HDR.
Every time Wifey sees 8k anything in marketing she just looks at me and says “no”.
I wouldn’t invest until consoles can push it anyways.
For the same reason it’s 8k and not 16k...
I want to believe in Anthem, but I don’t. Not even a little. They’re no longer marketed to a person in my situation. We who cannot frequently find an hour or two to plunk down in front of the TV are not going to be able to sustain this “always online enabled” environment that Anthem purports to be the new norm.

I liked parts of it too, but being able to completely reconfig your PC on the fly was not one of them. Sticking with a class and having to find tactics to take down tough enemy types was a lot of fun (really just knowing which team members to bring in some cases) without destroying the balance.
Okay, I’ll stop...

Chespin.. ugh. Belongs in the bottom. But Torchic should be top three. Easily cuter than Charmander and Squirtle.
Back in 17 we were interviewing candidate to replace my retiring boss. We’d sat in a dozen interviews with the current boss where we just felt wishy washy about the candidates, but this one dude was a 150% no. Best analogy I can use is a shady car salesman. The guy was belligerent and DGAF about anyone as long as he…
Oh, absolutely. Each procedure can have half a dozen associated service codes. I worked in insurance billing (fighting for patients) for years and considered for a while being a service coder for that sweet $5/hr pay raise. Confusing as hell.
You can generally get the cost adjusted prices from your insurer if you’re willing to sit on the phone for a while. They have all of the information above already, and will share it with you openly if you’re looking for the “best deal” for care.
Reminds me of the 2-door civics from the 80's. Dutifully trundling along despite 400,000 miles on the engine, 300lbs over capacity, and a roof covered in crap it was never meant to carry.
I’ve been trying to convince myself to pick up a Kitchenaid for years. Nothing short of copper will do, though. Recently, thoug, I’ve been tipped off to the Ankarsrum 6230, and while they don’t offer copper as a color option, I certainly don’t want pink.
I loved the battle music from Octopath. It reminded me of all those crazy good MIDI composed battle musics from the SNES days, brought to the orchestra. I hear it and want to go back to the game again.
Almost wish I’d played the game long enough to experience this.
I’m 70ish hours in and only level 48 or 49. I spend a lot more time just finding and clearing out forts than anything. Also the game tends to glitch out (dropping to 1-2fps on my PS4Pro) causing me to have to restart it every 6-8 hours if I’ve got a constant run going (including frequently putting the machine into…
