... and ... where does it says it’s going to have a theater or be on primetime TV? It’s more likely it’ll be going to DVD/Blu-Ray, video rentals are still quite big in Japan, or the more “adult” cable channels there.
It’s a plane and it’s not the most comfortable thing to fly on.
Why do it? Because it’s easy. No CGI giants attacking CGI walls with actors acting against green screen. And as a “wacky comedy” the bar isn’t really set too high either.
Love Live!’s following on the music stream channel I listen too isn’t as strong as K-On’s or of course Hatsune Miku. The channel devotes Friday to Love Live! but there are many, many more requests for other groups unlike their “Miku Mondays” and “K-On Wednesdays”. I think The Idolm&ster has more of a following there.
