Android probably is both the best and worst choice. Its open, most likely to work with whatever the user has or buys in the future and as long as someone is willing to write interoperable code, will work with ANYTHING.

Our driving course for driving company vehicles uses something called Smith driving. One of the big lessons is that something like 30% of all accident happen while reversing, so A) never reverse and B reverse when you get to your destination when you also have the best handle of the movement / environment.

Too bad 98.67% of drivers can't commit to one or the other. So instead we have those piling in early, then blocking late entrants and early mergers changing their mind, repeatedly as they jockey in and out for the next 2 miles...
