Meh, most the 90's Nissans and Infiniti's were meh. Ugly little things. There were some exceptions though I suppose, but the best of the best never made it to the USA.

My personal thought is anything but the VW, reliability is not great, residual value is low, and fun / wow factor compared to the other 2 is nil. For roughly your price range, I would probably lean towards a lightly used Subaru WRX 5-door, AWD in the NE is good, and the value will hold. Otherwise, a brand new BRZ…

They did this on the civic too, and its not perfect. Why is there a Cruise button at all? Cruise \ resume, throttle up + Set, throttle down rocker \ Cancel. Seems Cruise could be replaced by a switch that turn it on when you set...

But thats too many stalks. Wipers, and lights are on stalks. Thats how it should be. Addf the cruise control (Which I almost never use) and there is a third stick on the wheel that I can't read late at night the one time I use it.
