The new trilogy does have a distinct Marvel-esque tone to the comedy, which is always glaring to me. The comedy in the OT felt like it was just because the characters were snarky. In the new ones, it feels more like an intentional comedy beat inserted into the script. Just really deliberate. Maybe it’s just me, though.

I can’t wait for some more witty banter from the finale of the action/comedy Star Wars trilogy. I liked it in Avengers so OF COURSE I want it in everything else!

Yeah I agree with you on Rogue One. In fact it’s the only one of the new movies that I truly like (can’t stand the sequel trilogy so far).
I’m super looking forward to getting home tonight and starting up a new file in VR. I had it and played it at launch on PS4 but now that I have a PCVR headset I bought the PC version just to play through it in VR. Looking forward to seeing everything that’s new.
The problem was a mismatch between the character archetype and his role in the plot.
