This write-up feels like it’s making more out of the series than what’s actually there. The comic is mostly action with forgettable dialogue and a treatment of immortality that’s pretty thin on substance and originality minus one or two minor points. It reads like an agent or manager told a screenwriter that their

You have to go through the Warp Nacelles to get to your job in Engineering? Screw that job. Get me Reginald.

I have models of both the Reliant and the Defiant - whether or not they are handsome is up for debate of course, but both are supremely swooshable, because they are (like most starships in both Star Wars and Star Trek) much longer than they are tall.

Not really? Notice how it’s much longer than it is tall? I don’t know that particular ship, but if it was scaled down to fit on a shelf or be held in your hand, it would be very swooshable.

The difference is that almost all of the Wolf 359 ships were "swooshable" and looked like proper starships. The Cerritos just looks like a Galaxy saucer on stilts, it's way too tall to be "swooshable". It's basically taller than it's long, so the proportions are way off. It wouldn't look good as a model on your shelf,

I know everyone is looking at the ship, but is anyone *else* also slightly upset that the ensign uniform doesn’t really fit any era of Trek, especially not post-Nemesis, if we’re following Picard (in real time and flashbacks)?

I still knew people who bought them for gaming. There were plenty of productivity apps for Commodore and Apple computers. They were not toys. But after decades, I know your kind, and you’ll just keep on thinking what you’re thinking. Go ahead man, whatever makes you happy.

It always bugged me how awful CGA looked. I went from a Tandy 1000 (16 Colors) to a “Newer” 286 and ended up keeping the Tandy to play games. I couldn’t stand the Solo cup color palette.

The PC was never intended to be a gaming machine.

remember the name of the company that created it? IBM? International Business Machines? Games were low on their list of priorities. And IBM meant something back then, as in “This isn’t a toy like an Apple or Commodore.”

The C64 version was way better. I just don’t understand how PCs got out of the gate. They were shit, they were expense, and hard to use.

Here’s mine, complete with two controllers, the custom programming overlay my dad made and the oh-so-far-in-the-future “2011 Galactic Invasion”. Still works!

4 colors out of 256? Such luxury.

The stupid, it kills.

So even if a guest comes in with a mask, who’s going to tell them to [keep wearing] the mask?”

Disney will need to update their slogan to “The COVIDest Place on Earth”.

One thing they really need to do is to put some real teeth into the requirement to wear masks. Maybe lifetime bans from all Disney properties if you egregiously violate this. That might keep most people in line, obviously not 100% but definitely a good number likely.

Airlines filling planes and opening theme parks.... not wise. I’m almost done with this country, stupidity is somehow winning.

When a white person brings up “black on black crime” that is code for “I do not like black people and I think that they are deserving of violence because they have brought it on themselves”.
