Awesome article Doug! I’m not a Jalopnik regular, nor am I a car enthusiast per se....but between you and Tavarish’s articles, I’ve quickly become a fan and have learned a ton of information about cars that I’d never get anywhere else! So thank you guys so much for that!

I’ve seen a couple of Teslas out here in Maryland already and the existing vehicular demographic being what it is...yeah I could see Tesla doing pretty well here! Roads are well populated with Prius’ (Prii?), Leafs and other “green” cars. Saw so many of ‘em today in fact, I thought there was a new gang in town. Got

Virginia’s got some amazing scenery! Especially away from the cities but I recall a time where driving out past Tyson’s Corner lent to some really gorgeous sceneries. Same for Maryland as well in terms of sceneries! Grew up in D.C. though, didn’t get any of that unless you want to count Rock Creek Park which is about

So true! Having grown up in D.C., I can’t recall a time where we had any photogenic nights. Though there were some scenic areas at certain times of the year. Just had to go looking for it. Maryland & Virginia are photogenic landscape hogs!

I went to visit my grandmother in India when I was 10 and her neighbor's son (also 10) was getting driving lessons from his family. Went along for a ride with them and was stopped by a police officer. Instead of fining the family, arresting anyone for letting a TEN YEAR OLD drive.....the officer asked for a 50 rupee

S0 true, and I did get your sense of humour. Love it! I'm a big fan of keeping humour going as much as possible. I do go a bit overboard with it, especially during heated discussions with family members/girlfriends. Agree about the Lawyer statement too..I love my Lawyer, save when I see the bill. My love may lessen

I'm guessing Vanity is your Lawyer's favourite sin? :O

Hahaha! Sounds like a destructive version of Cirque du Soleil! Which I now want to see... :'(

I didn't think that was a "thing" until I looked it up on Google. Childhood: RUINED!

Actually Rob, this image is representing grim-dark Tony the Tiger for the not-yet-announced production of the live action Frosted Flakes movie, directed by Shane Black.

Was totally waiting for the Macross reference, and am now leaving happy!

So basically the Woodpecker weaseled its way out of a furry situation.

I've lived in both the U.S. and Montreal and most States within the U.S. have different methods (if any, as some States have no snowfall at all!) of snow removal/collection. In example in Maryland during 2003, we had a big blizzard and the best our County did was send a few bulldozers out to clear a path along the

Haha..funny thing though is that Quebecois French is far closer to the French that was spoken in France during the 1800's! To me Quebecois sounds far more "country" like than Parisian French.

Didn't know about the app, thanks for posting it! I've had help too from some of the snow truck drivers too a few times while removing snow that piled up around my car after one of the snow plows went by. People were I lived were also pretty nice to one another when it came to helping each other with removing snow; it

Oh hell no. That noise is just the devil's own voice. I've been woken up by it as early as 5:30am, sometimes 6am...just...ugh...! But gotta get out there and move my car if I don't want a ticket or worse! :(

Miyamoto Musashi.

Well my picture is uh....prettier? :p

Totally reminds me of:
