^^^Yes Yes Yes^^^

Yes! I many respects, this was an excellent thing to have happened BEFORE the wedding!

That other scenario would be pure evil!

No no, they turned it into a fortieth anniversary party after the OTHER side refused to let their daughter marry the groom.

Nooooooooooope! :(

YOU WIN.

I don't know what happened to her afterwards. :\

Agreed - I certainly am not implying that this was okay because it was "cultural" or "traditional." But I think that's part of the abusive dynamic there. The bride came to the States for school, and I think that's how she met the groom, so she'd been there a couple years but still had very strong ties to her home

Unfortunately, I don't know. My parents didn't know the bride's side, and they didn't want to bring up the debacle to the groom's parents later. That was totally an abusive situation!!

No, the relationship never recovered from that (understandably).

This is a wedding my parents went to, but it is hands down the most cringe-worthy wedding tale I know. My parents were invited to the wedding as friends of the groom's parents. The groom's family was pretty prominent in the local business community, so it was a big wedding - like at least 250+ people.

You forgot to mention this movie also stars my boyfriend and Chinese megastar Wang Lee Hom!

Yay for the dress, Nay for all the rest! They could have modernized it with better hair and makeup.

#photochop Did they slim down the dog's neck??

Lindy, I love you. Your writing truly has made an impact on my life and my worldview. We are winning because of fearless women like you. NEVER CHANGE!

I never noticed this before, but she looks a bit like Michelle Obama! Maybe it's the bangs.

Wait, you don't like the feeling of cumming?

Summer. Ibiza is the new Hamptons or Miami, apparently.

Found it! Love it!

I love that Colbert hounds him about having a relationship, getting married, and having kids. Always refreshing for that question to be aimed at a man!
