Listening to the guys on the 8-4 Play podcast it sounds like the game has some interesting aspects that are buried under a pile of crap. They mentioned a bad camera, frustrating boss fights, and the signature Japanese/Nintendo tutorial that goes for too long and assumes that you're dumber than a fencepost.
