we had our 13 yo bichon put to sleep 2 months ago due to cancer...it was done at home and she was in my arms, surrounded by family....it could not have been more compassionate....but my heart is so badly broken i cannot describe it.....i think of her every day.....her absence at home is palpable and heavy....
