Right around the time I read about the Middle Ages, I would pretend that my Barbies were accused witches being put on trial and tied to the stake. But I was always more of a dinosaur kid. One Christmas I got a fancy Barbie doll house and I was so excited to finally have a place to put all my dinosaurs.

Same! There was actually one particular doll that came with super long hair, safety scissors, and extensions that you were supposed to give haircuts to. I promptly chopped all the original hair off so it had a mullet when I attached the extensions.

I got mine back in July and it's still going strong!

I got a set of Stila lip glazes for Christmas one year. Merry Merry is the best!

BB Cream (mine is from Garnier). Just a little bit is all I need and my skin looks smooth, it doesn't rub off as easily as some foundation, and it's nice to have less "stuff" on my face because my skin is oily. Good if you want coverage (and an SPF!) but not necessarily a "made-up" look.

Just finished listening to Yes, Anastasia. Good Lord, this song is amazing.

I concur with those who mentioned talking to someone in the field, and maybe seeing if you can get experience while in, or before, grad school if you apply. Some programs offer internships and field experiences, which will help if you haven't worked in social work before. I'd also advise taking out as few loans as

Ugh, what a jerk. And the fact that management gave in makes my blood boil. The guy I had to deal with pretty much acts like he'd Donald Trump and this super-important figure when he's really...no one. He's always going on about how he's going to run for governor despite knowing basically nothing about politics, or

"Silent All These Years" is a personal favorite of mine. Although the entire Little Earthquakes album gives me chills.

You've touched on another why I think I'm still rattled! It was fairly busy at work and the incident happened towards the beginning of my shift, so instead of feeling upset I just switched focus onto other things. I was initially proud of myself for not breaking down or getting visibly upset, but those feelings all

I've found that starting with the first answer that pops into my head, even if it's not a good one, helps my mind get rolling onto other, possibly stronger ideas. Or the initial idea might actually be better than you first thought once you start writing about it.

Thanks. Rationally, I know it's not my fault and he's the asshole, but it's hard to match that up with how the incident made me feel.

I'm The Hulk. Well, I am a bit like Bruce Banner in some ways, so it's not surprising. Loki is my favorite, though!

What are some of the questions? For what it's worth, I've noticed on the interviews I'm been on that they seem to focus on behavioral questions ("tell me about a time when you had to ____"), so I've been keeping a list of responses for the most common ones I get asked, and update it whenever I think of a good

So yesterday I had to deal with a patron who was so belligerent I had to get security to escort him out. This is the first time I've ever had that happen at my job (even though problem patrons are nothing new) and it's still bothering me. This guy is a known asshole although I never really dealt with him until

I saw "applause track" and thought it meant Lady Gaga's Applause. In which case, I'd sue, too!

My shameless love stems mostly from Simon Pegg and Pegg/Renner dry humor moments. Could we just nix Cruise and give them a buddy comedy?

I know. When I saw Simon Pegg shared the article my heart died a little.

Necklaces. I get them for Christmas, my birthday, and I usually get one as a souvenir when I travel. But I like wearing them and they all come with a story.

I have a Coobie, and while it is comfortable and accommodates back fat, it's also a bit too flimsy in the cups, so it's more like wearing a half sports-bra, half-cami combo. Still, it has its place.
