California did lose some seats in the most recent census because it’s too damn expensive to live there, but I doubt any candidate from any party is going to be able to do jack shit about it. Housing will still not be built for the homeless, prices will go up, and people will continue to leave.

There is some truth to people leaving California, it recently just lost a few house seats for the first time because of the declining population. It’s more of a cost of living situation more than anything from the looks of it.
