It's the thin lever in front of the long lever. pull towards you to operate the clutch, jockey shift for the gears. Elegant, functional, looks good.

The clutch arrangement is actually pretty sweet! I Honestly only use the clutch to downshift when I’m lazy and starting off at lights - the clutch on this certainly looks useable.

nothing inherently more wrong-er than the “regular” Taurus of that generation, it just really wasn’t that great of a car. It was heavy, bloated, ugly and mundane.

There are some days that I miss the howl of that V8 - then I remember how yuck everything else about the car was.
