Right, but it’s not like they tried ECT and she died in spite of it, which would be more understandable, even if still incredibly tragic. Nor is it the case that ECT is a sort of obscure snake-oil treatment. It’s a pretty common treatment modality, and one that her family actively sought. For them to have been denied

Can we just have a reporter ask these dudes “What is the context within which this is acceptable?”

It’s great how his first defense was that it was meant to be a private message. That’s... very much not the point, buddy.

BABY KILLERS = bad for human rights

While he’s often reiterated that he would never impose his personal beliefs on others, his voting record shows a reluctance to embrace abortion rights.

I don’t quite understand the denial.  My understanding is that ECT has little to no proven long-term risks, even in children.  She was 17, not 7.  The fact that it can be quite effective at relieving intractable depression is not to be missed in this case.  It seems, given the alternative of letting her die, the risks

A: Modern electroshock therapy is not the barbaric/torturous treatment performed through the middle of the last century.

Democrats need to get Biden out of the way so more progressive and electable candidates get some breathing room.

When that was pointed out to Santorum’s press secretary, she responded, “It’s a matter of what’s in his heart. He’s a frothy mixture of lubricant and fecal matter as an occasional byproduct of anal sex a strongly pro-life person.”

bUt He’S tHe BeSt ChAnCe We HaVe To BeAt TrUmP!

FFS I hope the Democratic party succeeds in pulling it’s head out their collective ass so I don’t have to vote for this shitstain.

It’s maddening that ECT was denied in this circumstance.

“It’s a matter of what’s in his heart. He’s a strongly pro-life person.” What the fuck????

I’m not sure that’s the case. If women are harder to replace, then there would be more of them climbing the ladder, and more of them making it to the top echelons despite bad reputations. I think it’s the other way around: women are dropped more easily than men.

I am genuinely impressed that Kink is openly talking about their past issues and at what points during those experiences they have taken steps to change things.

Okay, so put that into context of people who survived Weinstein.

Seriously. “Difficult” men never seem to have a problem finding work. For example who was such a problem Kevin Feige dissed him in public and you’ve never heard him say anything bad about someone.

Also it’s not remotely true - Columbus didn’t prove the world was round, despite that being taught in a depressingly large number of schools for a depressingly long time.

Fiorentino had a reputation for being “difficult,” but knowing what we know now, I’d imagine that was a euphemism for “doesn’t want to fuck the producers.”

Then there are the supporting performances by the likes of Rip Torn and Vincent D’Onofrio, who are each great—as is Linda Fiorentino. Unfortunately, watching Men in Black today, you really feel how shortchanged the one female character in the film is, which is a shame, especially since she never got to come back

Ok, but what about the pile of shit underneath the hair? Can’t fix that.
