You seem... unfamiliar with the field of disability rights and the social model of disability. These are very serious issues which have very real consequences for disabled people every day.

For myriad reasons, there are many disabled people for whom plastic straws are the only safe and viable option.
Implying someone is doing it for attention is a very effective way of deflecting from the original injury done to the marginalised person and essentially shutting down the conversation about marginalisation from happening at all.
I’m not sure what the point of that would be, but anyway apparently they won’t be appearing in this year’s season at all, as they’re only using new villains.
