I can just see this being combined with piezoelectric principles to come up with something really interesting.

I thought I'd add that a really good site for public domain and new ebooks that authors have released for free is www.feedbooks.com . I've stumbled across a lot of good stuff there.

Well this is where I knew about tesseracts from. So any mention of them is accompanied by a slight sense of dread, for me.

Oh right, I remember now. I thought you were referring to his portrayal of Sherlock as gay. Carry on!

My Mum tried really hard with this, sending me and my siblings to school with chopped up carrot and celery for morning tea etc. We probably would have been happy with that, but seeing our friends coming to school with chips and pies gave us massive food envy, and resulted in us gorging on sugar and salty snacks at any

Cumberpatch's Sherlock isn't portrayed as gay. He pretty much stated when Watson asked that he wasn't really interested in either gender, making him asexual.

It's not written in the present tense, it's written first person, past tense.

Or we could all start eating kangaroo instead. Cheaper, healthier (far less fatty), and very tasty!

So sleeping with three people qualifies as being a "big ol' ho" now? Not that she actually slept with Alcide, however.

Jason Momoa as Shadow for sure. Failing that, Vin Deisel or Dwayne Johnson.

Isn't the fact that women prefer taller men a western cultural thing, rather than biological? I'm pretty sure in other cultures height isn't nearly as important an attraction factor. I get so sick of evolutionary psychologists getting confused between socialisation and biology.

Ok fair enough, but I can't really understand why you think that human bodies being taken over by demons isn't supernatural. Unless you think the vampires in Dracula are another species rather than supernatural as well?

Explainable in that when a human is turned, their soul leaves and a demon takes its place, which I guess is different from the whole Dracula thing of the human soul still being there but trapped in the body, but no more scientific.

Not sure why you're blaming Buffy to be honest. I'm not sure what makes demons occupying a human shell and being vulnerable to holy water and The Bible a 'scientification'.

I had to watch that ending five times, and I'm still not over the brilliance of it.

I am a bit mystified as to why horror/thriller films made in Australia often seem to need to be renamed 'The Outback' for a foreign audience. (Happened for this film as well [tinyurl.com] ).
