No, the 3DS games ran like crap because all of the Pokemon models were over-produced as hell for those games so that the models could be used on the Switch. You can watch footage of people upscaling the 3DS games t0 see that the Pokemon models are significantly nicer than they need to be. They look great at 1080p.
