What's the deal with Tribes Ascend? I haven't played in a while... but that may change if it's on its death bed. :(

I really hope you're right that they will begin exposing more of the lore using new plot devices rather than re-hashing the Flood!

This year, four-time champs MotoCzysz didn't compete, leaving the Mugen team to dominate the field. Mission Motorcycles – the same company that's making a Tesla on two wheels – helped with the engineering, and with an oil-cooled, 134-hp electric motor the Mugen blasted through the 37.7-mile Snaefell Mountain Course in

Hm~ Yea, the plot did get a little jumbled with the Covenant's in-fighting and the Flood still posing a threat to all. Personally, the Covenant's "civil war" seemed a little shallow; there wasn't any reasonable explanation for replacing the Elites with Brutes, much less trying to kill all of them.

The Top Gear series will always be my favorite in terms of pixelated racing.

The Flood might be getting a little long in the tooth for players, but a surprise return of the "forgotten enemy" could be a pretty interesting plot twist (e.g. the UNSC attempts to experiment with Flood samples found on another ring only for an Aliens-type outbreak to occur).

Personally, the three-way conflict was much more interesting than a mundane war between humans and aliens. The Flood also gave credence to the purpose of the rings and presumable downfall of the Forerunners without being too expository.

Apparently Geraldine Doyle, who was probably the woman used as the basis for the "We Can Do It!" poster, quit her factory job after two weeks for fear of injuring her hands because she was a cello player.

Ugh. The Library... so miserable... especially on Legendary. q.q

lol Yea, it's definitely a close call between Formula D and RallyCross for the title of "douchiest culture"! :P

This one's likely to elicit a few groans, as the Flood isn't exactly the most popular enemy faction in Halo for many players. Nevertheless, the Flood was a core part of the original Halo trilogy, and its absence was felt in recent games, for better or for worse.

You give me too much credit; I merely did a little touch-up. :P

Dat photo. I just came... a lot.

Personally, MX never seemed like an "extreme sport", similar to rally. Granted, you're probably right that most people would consider MX otherwise.

It makes the world go 'round. :P

That's a really good point about sponsorship; considering the difficulties facing the various forms of motorsport, RallyCross probably needs all the help it can get!

If I recall correctly, he competed in skateboarding; Wikipedia states he also competed in snowboarding and motocross. However, he certainly wasn't at the professional level or prestige of either Travis Pastrana or Bucky Lasek.

That's fair; if they're enthusiasts or fans and have enough money to fund their own way, good for them! I had assumed they were trying to turn RallyCross into a cool new extreme sport for America, especially considering that it's now in the X Games. :P

Ken Block... Travis Pastrana... and now Bucky Lasek?! Why are "extreme sports" athletes getting into RallyCross? I just don't get it. >.>

If the artist intentionally made that reference, she (?) deserves all the Mario Bros. street cred. Holy cow that's obscure! lol
