That's true to to a certain extent, however the video game industry is especially "cruel" to developers in comparison to other fields of software development.

Hot damn! How is this the first I'm hearing about the 960?! If it had more or the 911 aesthetic, it'd be perfect.

Actually, for everyone... or perhaps you believe most English speaking people know how to read Shakespearean?

That's beautiful and Porsche should seriously make that car happen. Mid-engine... 911... Please excuse me while my heart explodes.

That's very true; many office buildings remain empty as a testament, even this long after the "recession". Truly, real estate cycles are often decadal or even multidecadal. Perseverance is essential for any kind of long-term holdings.

Aw, I thought this was going to be a post about getting rid of physical items based on the title!

You definitely seem more knowledgeable than I on the topic of metallurgy! I was under the impression that it had been recreated but not exactly the same as before, which is apparently incorrect. >.>

Yea, I did overestimate the size of "Ice"; it's definitely not big enough for two swords... perhaps a sword and dagger.

Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with the demographics of the Kickstarter crowd, but I imagine there are plenty of PC gamers that are also PS gamers. A multi-platform release would certainly have been beneficial, but it does make sense why they'd focus on a platform with which they're very familiar as it increases

That's a good point about diversification. Personally, I considered it a few times but never "pulled the trigger", mostly due to luck with good location and tenants.

Although I have no actual experience with residential real estate, your points do seem logical. As for location... preach it! :P It really is the most critical factor.

Hm, I suppose the biggest difference is that unlike the residential real estate saying "don't buy because you'd want to live there", commercial real estate would say "buy because you'd want to work there"! :P

Haha, yes, our experiences vary greatly! I didn't mean to suggest that commercial is easy or carefree; it's plenty of work alright. Getting the right tenant is easily half the battle, I suppose! :P

Bad things do happen — When you're a landlord, "no news" is typically good news. However, there's a reason why so many people are hesitant to get into the game. We've all heard rental horror stories and the fact is that many of them are true. You'd be amazed at the kind of damage people can leave behind, and how much

As a former professional in real-estate, I never found residential properties to be desirable (as lucrative as some may be); commercial is just so much easier! For example, with residential, you run the risk of having to evict a tenant -which is a surprisingly difficult and lengthy process- whereas a company is much

I have such an automotive hard-on for the D Type it's unhealthy.

It's a common misconception that game development firms are flush with cash; it's the publishers that make out like bandits while the developers are left high-and-dry to try and keep operating. :(

I believe the point is that checking frequently will make you more susceptible to poor or emotional decision making.

If you have any investments in stocks, a retirement account you can monitor, or any other form of long-term investment, you're probably tempted to keep an eye on it day to day. If you really want to get a good return, stop checking so often.

I think it's more an issue of the target audience. Fans of the series already know what fun to expect from the gameplay (which admittedly looks boring in still shots) whereas anyone else either won't get it or think it's a Guitar Hero/Rock Band clone.
